Opposable Thumbsilvania

Sunday, October 28th, 2007

I can move my thumbs!!!

The nerves finally reach those little depleted muscles in my hands (opponens pollicis I think) and I can move them a little bit. The bad news it they wasted so much that I can hardly use them.

Biomechanical Slaves

Friday, September 21st, 2007

I recently got a Black & Decker electric jar opener, and I must say, it’s pretty awesome. For anyone not in the loop, I have some pretty extensive nerve and muscle damage in my hands, arms, legs, and feet. It helps quite a bit. Now I can open jars of Salsa! I highly recommend it to anyone with a similar condition. I also got a new electric can opener, but frankly, it’s not that great and the battery life sucks.

I, for one, welcome our new Biomechanical Overloards.
